A huge weekend for band hopping around Beaufort

By Mary Ellen Thompson | There is so much going on this weekend that band hopping is likely to be a hop, skip and trip.

Tonight, Beaufort’s beloved Vic Varner is at Breakwater Restaurant and Bar playing for your enjoyment between 6:30 and 9.

Friday night everyone is in competition with the Water Festival’s River Dance, so pick your poison and start at Lowcountry Produce Market and Cafe with those guys who always play the music you like to hear – the Sometimes Later Band between 6 and 9. Hop on down the street and around the corner to Wined It Up to listen to Vic Varner between 7 and 10. Skip on over to the Back Porch Grill for our favorite Sweetgrass Angels who will be there from 7 – 10, then take a long leap and land at Steamers for some great fun with the Warsaw Island Boys between 7:30 and 11, finally – wind up your hop at the Foolish Frog with Kirk Dempsey and the Bull Grapes who will be playing from 7 – 11.

Breathe.

Saturday’s hop is a little less energetic – the Remnants will be playing at the Back Porch Grill at 7:30 until 10:30, and Eric Daubert and Ben from the Cluster Shucks will entertain you at the Foolish Frog between 7 and 11.

As usual Vic Varner and Friends will be in their Sunday stroll spot at Saltus River Grill between 6:30 and 9:30.
